IBPS’s PO (Probationary Officers) exam pattern
IBPS – Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is an autonomous body for conducting all public sector bank’s (listed below) clerical, probationary officers (PO) and other specialist officer posts.
IBPS PO exams are objective type question papers and now these exams are conducted through online mode but earlier it was an offline / paper based. And in this exam, Reasoning, English knowledge, Computer skill and General Knowledge based questions are asked. And one must prepare in all areas of subject matter and given equal preference to each.
IBPS plays a vital role in selecting candidates based on their performance in the given exam and the exam pattern now has following format.

1. IBPS Prelim exam: in this format candidates need to qualify / clear the exam with cut-off score.

2. IBPS Main Exam: The Main examination is having following format. (to appear for main exam, candidates must clear prelim exam first)

Negative marks: There will be 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. And for unmarked questions, there will be no penalty.
Once the main exam is cleared, result will be announced on ibps website and short-listed candidates are asked to appear for an oral / final interview.
